Sketchbook Assignments for the week of February 14th – 18th
1. Practice Face and Hand drawings using the following handout. Pay close attention to the proportions of the face. The finished product is not as important as the process in this case. Draw any extra “working lines” that will help you.
2. Draw from life. Class time will be used to draw a portrait of a classmate. These are meant to be practice so don’t get too hung up on perfection, they can be sketchy.
3. Make one or two drawings of your hands, drawing from life. Use shading to show form. Tracing the outline of your hand doesn’t count! If you are right handed, hold your left hand in a pose and draw from it. If you’re left handed draw your right hand.
